With his two partners, he started as small cultivator in 2015 before entering the Adult Use market in 2021. The East Coast Cannabis enterprise is completely vertical employing ~150 people across their retail stores in Eliot, Lebanon and Waterville, their cultivation sites, commercial kitchens and extraction lab.
When he comes up for air from ECC, Dana spends his time golfing and at his hobby job as a singer/ guitar player at numerous bars, clubs, cruises, music halls and weddings between ME, NH and MA.
He spent several years in the financial services industry prior to starting a property management and general contracting business which he still operates today.
In 2017, Jan and his partner opened the third ever caregiver store in Maine. Pharmer’s Market was one of the pioneers in the evolution of Maine’s medical cannabis market. As legalisation progressed in Maine Jan rebranded and transformed Pharmer’s Market from a single location in Boothbay into what Highly Cannaco is today.
Highly Cannaco is a vertically integrated recreational cannabis company. It currently has active stores in Boothbay, South Portland, and Auburn. Additional retail locations are soon to come online in Brunswick, Woolwich, and Lewiston.
Jan earned a Masters in Business Administration, a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting, and minors in Finance and History from Thomas College. Class of 2001
Although Brendan grew up in Hull, MA, he has family spread throughout Maine many of whom continue to participate in the cannabis market as caregivers. Brendan attended Amherst College and was chosen by his teammates as Captain of the Amherst Football Team. He later went on to play in the European Football League and upon his return to the US competed in submission grappling and MMA.
The ability to offer wellness through this incredible plant is what keeps him going. When he isn’t greeting customers or meeting with his teams as the CFO & COO of Silver Therapeutics, Brendan enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, hiking, a freshly rolled joint, and spending time with his 10 month old baby girl, Starling.
